The License Advisory Committee monitors and provides input on the license agreements governing the electronic resources offered by SCELC to its participating institutions.
The SCELC Collections and Electronic Resources (CERC) exists to help SCELC identify, explore, collect data on, evaluate and report on electronic information resources and other products of interest.
The Program and Professional Development Committee (PPDC) advises SCELC staff on award and scholarship programs. The committee also assists with educational programming for SCELC members on various topics through training, invited speakers, other activities to enhance SCELC members’ knowledge and to exchange information, including programming the annual SCELC Colloquium.
The Resource Sharing Committee (RSC) identifies, analyzes and facilitates resource sharing innovations, strategies, and trends. It proposes new resource sharing initiatives to the SCELC Board of Directors and communicates with SCELC libraries regarding resource sharing issues and proposals. It also coordinates SCELC-wide activities relating to interlibrary loan, patron-initiated borrowing, and reciprocal borrowing.
SCELC Scholarly Communication Committee is charged to explore, identify and recommend collaborative opportunities to advance scholarly communication in member libraries. The committee will stay informed and distribute information to member libraries about how collection development is being effected by new scholarly communication models. The committee will monitor current trends and developments that threaten fair participation in, and open access to, the scholarly record.
The SCELC Shared Print Committee (SPC) leads and guides the SCELC Shared Print Program. The SPC makes recommendations to the SCELC Board about policies and procedures necessary to build and sustain the Program, including advising on participation in national shared print programs.
