The Resource Sharing Committee (RSC) identifies, analyzes and facilitates resource sharing innovations, strategies, and trends.

Key Activities

  • Propose new resource sharing initiatives to the SCELC Board of Directors
  • Communicate with SCELC libraries regarding resource sharing issues and proposals
  • Coordinate SCELC-wide activities relating to interlibrary loan, patron-initiated borrowing, and reciprocal borrowing.

The Resource Sharing Committee oversees the following SCELC Member Benefits and Programs:

  • Reciprocal Interlibrary Loan (RILL)
  • Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing (RFB)
  • SCELC RapidILL pod

 

Committee Highlights

Current Initiatives

  • Plan and Present Channel One focused on Resource Sharing Consultation and Mentorship 
  • Gather and distribute contact information for mentors in tools and systems
  • Assist in planning the interstate West Coast Resource Sharing Courier and testing integrations

 

Resource Sharing Toolkit

The Resource Sharing Toolkit was designed by the RSC to provide information about ILL vendors, tools, webinars and training videos.
