SCELCapalooza Silent Auction

The SCELC Board of Directors is organizing our first annual SCELCapalooza Silent Auction, with all proceeds benefiting POCinLIS (People of Color in Library and Information Science), an organization doing vital work to advance equity and representation in our field.

To make this auction a success, we’re asking each institution attending SCELCapalooza to contribute an item or collection of items with a suggested minimum value of $100. This could be anything from gift baskets and unique local products to event tickets or even handmade items, anything that will spark interest and encourage bidding!

Please indicate whether you intend to participate using the form below.

How the Silent Auction Works

Participants will browse items displayed during Vendor Day and place their bids on bid sheets. At the end of the auction, the highest bid wins the item, and all proceeds go directly to POCinLIS. It’s a fun, engaging way to support a great cause and add some excitement to our gathering.

The auction will conclude at the close of Vendor Day, but we are able to take and secure your donations during Symposium if you are attending.

If it’s easier, you can also ship them ahead of time to:

William H. Hannon Library
ATTN: Chan Harris
1 LMU Drive MS8200
Los Angeles, CA 90045

Your support will not only help raise funds for POCinLIS but also demonstrate our collective commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion in the library community.
