Return on Investment Task Force

Charge

The ROI Task Force is charged with exploring, evaluating, and recommending tools, services, and frameworks that will support SCELC member libraries in demonstrating their return on investment (ROI) to stakeholders. The task force will review SCELC staff and consultant recommendations for measuring and showcasing the impact of libraries on student success, faculty research, and institutional outcomes, while offering tailored solutions for SCELC members to communicate their value effectively.

Potential Key Objectives

  • Participate in an Ease/Impact, SWOT, PPCO, or similar examination of possible initiatives

  • Review consultant and staff findings on the ROI needs of SCELC member libraries 

  • Review consultant and staff findings on best practices for tracking and reporting on library ROI.

  • Review consultant and staff findings on customizable templates and tools for impact reporting.

  • Provide input on MVP for measuring and showcasing the impact of libraries.

  • Recommend metrics to assess the impact of SCELC ROI services.

Potential Deliverables

  • A list of recommendations for SCELC's involvement in advancing ROI services initiatives across its members.
