National REFORMA Conference VIII

Join REFORMA for The National REFORMA Conference VIII (NRC VIII), taking place September 18–21, 2025, at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach. NRC VIII brings together librarians, library staff, and community partners of all backgrounds who are committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion in library services.

The conference focuses on serving Latinx and Spanish-speaking communities - including supporting the success of Latinx students on college campuses, navigating the growing presence of Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs), and empowering non-Latinx librarians working in institutions that serve Latinx populations.

Keynote and Featured Speakers:

  • Opening Keynote: Maria Hinojosa, NPR journalist
  • Closing Keynote: Dr. Gina Ann Garcia, Nationally recognized scholar on HSIs and Podcast Host of ¿Qué pasa, HSIs?

SCELC Sponsorship Opportunity
SCELC is sponsoring a limited number of complimentary registrations for librarians and library staff from SCELC member libraries to attend NRC VIII. Apply by August 1, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be employed at a SCELC Member library.
  • Must have a professional interest in serving Latinx communities or acting as an ally/advocate.
  • Must be available to attend the full conference (September 18–21, 2025).
  • Apply by August 1, 2025
