Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Program

One of the benefits of membership in SCELC is our Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Program. This program is intended to enable mutual borrowing for faculty or other qualified researchers among participating SCELC member libraries. This privilege of membership helps SCELC libraries improve resource sharing throughout the state of California.

To Participate:

  1. review the policies and procedures
  2. submit a participation form
  3. make authorization forms available to faculty and researchers

To Reciprocate:

  1. confirm that visiting faculty members or researchers belong to participating institutions
  2. confirm that their authorization forms are signed by a valid signatory
  3. issue the faculty members or researchers reciprocal library cards
