Join SCELC
Potential SCELC members and affiliates are encouraged to apply. Because SCELC is a non-profit organization, there are specific requirements for becoming a member or an affiliate. Please review these requirements before filling out an application.
Application Process
The application process for SCELC typically proceeds as follows:
- An institution reads over the membership requirements.
- An application is submitted to SCELC.
- The SCELC Office determines if an institutions meets the membership requirements and either passes the application on to the Board of Directors or grants the institution affiliate status.
- The Board of Directors votes on approval of the application for advisory membership.*
- Upon approval for membership or recognition of affiliate status, a Welcome Packet is sent to the institution.
- The institution returns the necessary forms.
- The application process is complete.
Member/Affiliate Distinction
The distinction between members and affiliates of SCELC is determined by fulfillment of the membership requirements. If an institution meets all the of membership requirements, it is eligible for membership. Those institutions that do not meet all of the requirements are often still eligible to become affiliates of SCELC.
NN/LM PSR E-Licensing Program
NN/LM PSR members from non-profit organizations are eligible to participate in the joint SCELC–NN/LM PSR E-Licensing Program.
