Member/Affiliate Distinction
SCELC Members are non-profit private academic or research libraries staffed by a professional librarian and with a library collection (physical or virtual).
Members:
- Pay member dues (currently $750/year)
- Must be approved by the SCELC Board of Directors
- Have access to additional SCELC services and programs, as noted above
- Can attend SCELC events at no additional charge.
SCELC Affiliates are institutions not eligible for membership, but have a research or educational mission and are not classified as a 501(c)(4). Affiliates do not pay annual dues, but pay an additional transaction fee per resource transaction (subscription or purchase).
