This week we're talking award and grant funding! Strategies for and experiences with seeking extra dollar boosts for your institutional projects or your own professional development. Libraryland has never been awash with dollars, but the skills to succeed at raising outside funding are even more useful right now. I'm calling on the whole spectrum-- from newbies looking to learn the ropes, up to the hardened grant-writing jockeys-- to come share and learn a bit together

 
With the help of some of SCELC's esteemed Program/Professional Development Committee members, we'll trace the topic in two general parts:
  • At SCELC: We'll review PPDC's SCELC awards portfolio and showcase the work that they've put into our application processes to effectively and equitably distribute this funding into the SCELC community
  • ...and Beyond: We'll track the foundations laid by PPDC's SCELC Award processes into a bigger picture discussion about awards and grant funding out in the world; comparative experiences, the barriers to obtaining, and our strategies for adapting around those barriers. 
Come join the SCELC community this week as we share our experiences and strategize a bit together about how to hone our awards and grant application chops-- both within SCELC and in the world at large.
