Participating on a SCELC committee such as the Product Review Committee (PRC) or the Programming and Professional Development Committee (PPDC) are two avenues for involving your library staff in SCELC. Appointments to standing committees are made annually by the Board of Directors at its last meeting of the fiscal year. Both committees provide a unique opportunity to you and your library staff to network with other SCELC library staff members. If you or your staff members are interested in serving on a SCELC advisory committee, please contact SCELC.
Task Forces and Working Groups
The SCELC Board will appoint on an as-needed basis task forces or working groups to address a particular issue. Past examples include a Strategic Planning Task Force and a Digital Initiatives Working Group. You or appropriate library staff are eligible to serve on these groups.
