SCELC Vendor Day 2008: About Thomson Scientific
Sessions 1, 3 and 6
Web of Science®: Consisting of three separate indexes—the Science Citation Index Expanded™ (indexing over 6,800 journals), the Social Sciences Citation Index® (over 2,000), and the Arts & Humanities Citation Index® (over 1,100)--the Web of Science® offers seamless access to current and retrospective multidisciplinary information from the most prestigious, high-impact journals in the world. The Web of Science®--which now has a brand new interface that is more user-friendly and intuitive—is designed to meet the respective needs of undergraduates, graduates, faculty and librarians alike. Not only does it offer multiple search fields, but it also allows users to search via cited references, thus enabling them to identify key records that would otherwise not be identified by regular topic searching.
Sessions 2, 5 and 7
EndNote® and EndNote Web®:
EndNote®: Millions of researchers, scholarly writers, students, and librarians use EndNote to search online bibliographic databases, organize their references, PDFs, and images, and create bibliographies and figure lists instantly. Instead of spending hours typing bibliographies, or using index cards to organize their references, they do it the easy way—by using EndNote!
EndNote® Web: Undergraduate students and mobile researchers use EndNote Web to organize their references online, format bibliographies instantly and simplify collaboration with colleagues. EndNote Web provides online searching and unique integration with ISI Web of Knowledge(SM) including times-cited links and more. Users can also transfer EndNote libraries to and from EndNote Web easily and cite from both sources in a single paper.
