Oxford Scholarship Online (OSO) - Perpetual Access Model (Session 1) is now available for purchase! Libraries now have the option of subscribing to or purchasing access to this award-winning resource. OSO is a cross-searchable library containing the full text of over 1000 Oxford books in the areas of Economics & Finance, Philosophy, Political Science and Religion. Specially commissioned abstracts (many written by the author) and keywords are available at book and chapter levels, and at least 200 new and recently published books will be added each year. OSO is the first online humanities collection by a single publisher and OUP is considered the top academic publisher in the areas of Philosophy and Religion.
Oxford Reference Online: Premium Collection with Western Civilization and Literature Collections (OROP) (Session 2) consists of 160 Oxford dictionaries and encyclopedias, covering 25 subject areas. It contains 30 titles from the acclaimed Oxford Companions series plus all 20,000 entries from the Oxford Dictionary of Quotations. Includes 6000 color illustrations from the Visual English Dictionary and more than 2600 links to editorially chosen external websites. Oxford Digital Reference Shelf (DRS) (Session 2) offers libraries a new purchase option for its reference collection development programs. DRS offers libraries an opportunity to purchase static, web-based electronic editions of Oxford's multi-volume and single volume scholarly reference titles. As of January 2006, there are 14 electronic reference titles available for purchase with 2 additional titles becoming available in March and 2 more in May of 2006. Oxford African American Studies Center (AASC) (Session 3): Oxford University Press is proud to announce the creation of the first online resource center to fully document the field of African American Studies and Africana Studies. African American Studies Center will provide students, scholars, and librarians with online access to the finest reference resources in African American studies. The core content consists of 5 major Oxford encyclopedias covering all aspects of the African American past, with additional content from more than 18 Oxford reference sources, approximately 1000 images with hundreds more added annually, ands, at launch, there will be 100 primary sources, including the Emancipation Proclamation and Frederick Douglass's slave narratives. The Editor in Chief is Henry Louis Gates, Jr., of Harvard University.
