Federated Searching and OpenURL linking. With several different searching and linking applications reaching the marketplace, understanding the role of each application is of growing importance within the library community. We’ll discuss how Serials Solutions’ Central Search and Article Linker can work in tandem to ensure that patrons are successful in their research. In addition, librarians can discover how Central Search can be a stand-alone application that helps patrons link directly to full-text.

Recent upgrades to the E-Journal A.M.S. and Full MARC Records. Free enhancements reflected in subscriptions to E-Journal A.M.S. are the e-catalog, usage statistics, and the ability to add custom notes. Whereas, in the Full MARC Records service, libraries can take advantage of hosted 856 fields and those with a shared OPAC can implement a group MARC records solution.
