SCELC Vendor Day 2004
Gold Rush
Gold Rush is an electronic journal discovery service that incorporates metadata from over 115 providers and 700 databases representing over 50,000 unique journals. It offers institution-specific journal searching, linking services (Open URL), database comparison tools for collection development, and electronic resource management of subscriptions. For libraries in a consortium, Gold Rush will support serial collection comparisons between participants as well as the ability for patrons to switch identities in the search interface. Gold Rush is Web-based and very easy to use requiring no local hardware or software other than a current browser. It may be acquired in different packages from the non-profit Colorado Alliance of Research Libraries. More information is available at http://grweb.coalliance.org.
