WilsonWeb customers are now enjoying access to the Wilson databases via the "Next Generation" technology that debuted in Fall 2002. The new, totally redesigned WilsonWeb offers intuitive navigation, detailed user statistics, natural-language searching, full text searching, relevancy-ranked results (based on Wilson metadata), WilsonLink SFX-powered technology, administrative control, customization options, and more.
Users of the new WilsonWeb enjoy seamless links to full text articles on any of their library's databases that are open-URL compliant, thanks to the WilsonLink SFX-powered software.
- In 2003, patrons will be able to search a wide range of important journals as far back as 1907, with Humanities Index Retrospective: 1907-1983 and Social Sciences Index Retrospective: 1907-1982. Each database cites nearly 1,000,000 articles.
- New on WilsonWeb, Book Review Digest Plus dramatically expands its scope with entries drawn from thousands of periodicals. Retrieve book summaries, bibliographic data, full-text reviews, review excerpts and citations. Entries encompass more than a million reviews covering more than 500,000 books--fiction, nonfiction, reference works, children's books and more.
- Index to Legal Periodicals Full Text includes complete articles from many of the leading English-language serials in law. This new resource delivers the full text of articles cover to cover from nearly 200 sources, PDF page images, plus indexing of 842 periodicals and some 1,400 monographs per year. Retro indexing reaches as far back as 1981.
- Wilson representatives will review WilsonWeb Next Generation, Omni Mega, Humanities Index Retrospective, Book Review Digest Plus and Index to Legal Periodicals Full Text.
