24/7 Reference

24/7 Reference is a customized set of software tools that lets your library patrons ask questions and get answers, in real time, on the Internet, from your live reference staff. Libraries in California have the option of participating in the 24/7 Reference collaborative answering network. Here's how it works: Your library contributes at least 10 hours per week of reference staff time, answering questions from the collaborative group. In exchange, the group provides back-up service to your patrons, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Pricing depends on whether you participate in the network. For more information about the product, please visit our website at: http://www.247ref.org/.
