SCELC Discussion Lists
SCELC maintains several discussion lists to foster communication among members. All of these lists are closed; to join or for more information, send email to admin@scelc.org.
BSCELC
The BSCELC discussion list is for communication between members of the SCELC board.
ESCELC
The ESCELC list is for communication between members of the Executive Committee of the SCELC Board only.
Finance
The Finance list is reserved for use by members of the SCELC Finance Advisory Committee.
Forum
Forum is a list for open discussion between SCELC librarians. We encourage each member
library to sign up at least one front-line staff member (who is not a director) so that they can
participate in ongoing SCELC discussions about new or potential products, or other SCELC issues.
LRC
The LRC list is reserved for use by members of the SCELC License Review Advisory Committee.
MSCELC
The MSCELC list is for internal SCELC business communications.
PPDC
The PPDC discussion list is for the use of the members of the SCELC Program and Professional Development Advisory Committee.
PRC
The PRC discussion list is for communication between Product Review Committee members; that is, reference librarians who serve on the committee to help select e-resources for SCELC to offer.
SCELC
The SCELC discussion list is for all SCELC library directors PLUS other essential contacts
at some libraries, such as the people who read and sign licenses, or who help select e-resources.
This list is the principal communication channel for new product and trial announcements, product
orders, renewals, databases licensed, as well as for announcements/discussion of other SCELC
services.
