Collections and Electronic Resources Committee

Group Description:

The SCELC Collections and Electronic Resources Committee (CERC) monitors and provides input on electronic resources offered by SCELC to its participating institutions, while also focusing on collections related practices, products, and services. In support of the SCELC Strategic Plan priority to build collections, it serves as a community of practice for librarians working in collections and e-resource selection, acquisition, and management. By relying on each other’s knowledge and sharing expertise, CERC will equip librarians to evaluate and demonstrate collection value to their institutions and stakeholders. The CERC also serves to promote the participation of SCELC member librarians in SCELC activities, discussions, and decisions. Formally, the CERC is an advisory committee to the SCELC Board of Directors. For more on committee structure, see the CERC Standards and Guidelines page. See also Vendor Best Practices Guidelines and Product Reviews (SCELC libraries only).
